Yuba Sathi Scheme: West Bengal Yuba Sathi Scheme New Guidelines Released for Payment Date and Application Status Check

Yuba Sathi Scheme: A significant update has emerged regarding the West Bengal government’s ambitious “Banglar Yuba Sathi” scheme. The Department of Youth Services and Sports has issued a comprehensive directive targeting the digitization of offline applications. This notice clarifies the timeline for data entry, application status checks, and the commencement of financial disbursal for the state’s unemployed youth.

Digitization of Offline Applications

Between February 15 and February 26, 2026, a massive number of applications were collected through “Duare Sarkar” camps and various offline modes. The Principal Secretary has now instructed all District Magistrates to expedite the digitization process of these hard-copy forms.

  • Location of Operation: Data entry operations will be conducted at Block Development Offices for rural areas and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) offices for urban regions. For areas under the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the work will be executed at the Borough level or designated central locations.
  • Deadline: The administration has set a strict deadline to complete the entire data entry process within 10 days, specifically by March 15, 2026.
  • Document Scanning: Along with the data entry, operators must scan and upload all supporting documents submitted by the applicants, such as Voter ID, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and educational certificates (Madhyamik Admit Card, etc.).

Payment Timeline and Status Check

For applicants eagerly waiting for updates, the notice outlines key dates:

  • Checking Status: Since the data entry deadline is March 15, offline applicants will be able to check their application status on the official portal only after March 15, 2026.
  • Disbursement of Funds: The government aims to start the direct benefit transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries from April 1, 2026, marking the official implementation of the scheme.

Detailed SOP Coming Soon

To eliminate confusion regarding eligibility, the state government will soon publish a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). This upcoming document will specifically clarify whether beneficiaries of other state schemes—such as Lakshmir Bhandar, Krishak Bandhu, or other pension schemes—are eligible to receive financial assistance under the Yuba Sathi scheme.

The administration is deploying Data Entry Operators (VLEs) on a war footing to meet the deadline, with provisions for remuneration on a per-form basis, similar to the Lakshmir Bhandar operational model.
