What is SAR and Why is it Important?

The Self-Appraisal Report (SAR) is an annual performance evaluation process where a government employee records their own work and achievements. It helps in assessing employee performance, determining promotions, and identifying training needs. Especially for Group A officers, it is an integral part of their career progression. This process is completed online through the HRMS (Human Resource Management System) portal.
