WBSSC: The West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) is making some important changes to how it handles teacher recruitment. These new rules are for teachers in classes 9-10 and 11-12. What’s New?
- Get a Copy of Your Answer Sheet: When aspirants take the exam, they will get a carbon copy of their OMR answer sheet. This means they can check their answers later, which helps make things clear.
- Answer Sheets Kept Longer: The OMR sheets and their scanned copies will be kept safe for a longer time than before. It used to be one year. This is important because of past issues where these sheets were needed for investigations.
- Job Panel List Valid for Longer: When the SSC makes a list of people who passed (called a panel), this list will now be valid for a longer time. It’s usually for one year, but the plan is to make it valid for an extra six months. This could give more qualified people a chance to get a job.
- Changes to Interviews: The way interviews are done will also be changed. This is to make sure that people are chosen fairly during the recruitment process.
- Focus on Being Open and Fair: The state government and the SSC really want the whole recruitment process to be clear and honest. All these changes are to make sure of that. The Supreme Court has said that the notice for new teacher recruitment for classes 9-10 and 11-12 should be out by May 31st. These new rules are being finalized before that.
