WBSR-I: West Bengal Service Rules Part 1

The West Bengal Service Rules, Part I is a set of rules that govern the conditions of service of officers under the rule making power of the Government of West Bengal. It came into force on October 1, 1971 and applies to all members of services and holders of posts whose service conditions are prescribed by the Government of West Bengal.

The rules cover a wide range of topics, including age on first appointment, condonation of an excess in age on first appointment, declaration of age, probation, confirmation, promotion, transfer, leave, disciplinary proceedings, retirement, and terminal benefits.
