WB Finance Order 3027-F(Y): Mandatory Online Pension File Processing

This order mandates that all pension files across West Bengal government departments must be processed exclusively online through the e-Pension Portal starting September 1, 2026. Offline processing is completely stopped, except for state universities and court cases. Subject: Mandatory Online Processing of Pension Files via e-Pension Portal and System Enhancements
In continuation of No. 2460-F(Y) dated 21.04.2017 of the Finance Department, Audit Branch, and with a view to making the processing of pension files in a more user-friendly, fast, reliable and secure manner, the Governor is pleased to direct the following in respect of the advancements introduced in the e-Pension Portal of the Directorate of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance (https://dppg.wb.gov.in):
- The processing of all types of pension files of different Departments shall henceforth be received at DPPG exclusively through the e-Pension Module. No offline pension files shall be entertained under any circumstances, except pension files pertaining to State Universities and cases relating to any Court Orders.
- ‘Two-Factor Authentication’, viz. User-Id/Password with OTP sent to the registered email and mobile number of the user, is hereby introduced at every user level in the e-Pension Portal, in order to make the system more secure and reliable.
- A ‘Document Uploading’ feature has also been introduced in the system, to make it more transparent.
- DPPG, Government of West Bengal, will issue the Detailed Process Flow and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in due course of time.
This Order shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of September, 2026.
