Memorandum

Subject: Clarification on applicability of Circular No. 139 regarding dissemination of information to the press.

In continuation to the circular No. 139 dated 19/05/2026 of the Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal regarding dissemination of information to the press etc. forwarded by this department vide No. 696- PAR-HR/O/PAR(Estt)/MISC-11/2023 dated 20/05/2026, it is clarified that the provisions contained in the said circular shall be applicable ONLY to the officers and staff working under regular establishments of Government of West Bengal as well as Boards, Corporations, Undertakings and other Parastatal organizations etc. under the administrative control of the Government of West Bengal.

All concerned authorities are requested to inform all officers and staff under their control accordingly.
