After months of disruption, the official AGWB portal of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), West Bengal is now fully functional again. State government employees, teachers and pensioners can log in once more to check their GPF balance and download their annual statements.
The key development is that the 2026-27 accounting cycle statement now reflects the April 2026 DA arrear as a credit entry in May 2026.

Why The Portal Was Down, And What Changed
Backend server maintenance, database synchronization and technical upgrades had kept the portal inaccessible or badly degraded for months. Employee federations and service associations had repeatedly raised the issue with authorities.
How The DA Arrear Shows Up In Your GPF Ledger
According to the source, employees whose April 2026 DA arrear was disbursed with their salary will now see that amount in the GPF ledger’s May 2026 credit column, alongside their regular monthly subscription. If you were unable to get your GPF statement for months, this is a practical relief, since income tax filing and loan applications often need this document. Those nearing retirement will also find their final settlement processing moving again.
What Employees Should Do
- Log in now using your GPF Series, Account Number and OTP to download your statement.
- Cross-check the May credit entry against your April pay slip and arrear sanction order, and report any mismatch to your DDO.
- Download and archive your statement early, before the month-end salary and pension processing rush causes server congestion.
- Employees preparing for retirement can now push forward with final settlement applications.
