The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) declared the Kolkata Police SI Final Result on 8 October 2026. A total of 309 candidates have been finally selected for the posts of Sub-Inspector/Sub-Inspectress (Unarmed Branch), Sub-Inspector (Armed Branch) and Sergeant, comprising 282 male and 27 female candidates.
This recruitment relates to the Sub-Inspector/Sub-Inspectress (Unarmed Branch), Sub-Inspector (Armed Branch) and Sergeant in Kolkata Police – 2023 exercise. Along with the final merit list, WBPRB has also released the list of candidates who were not selected.

How the Selection Was Done
Candidates went through five stages: Preliminary Examination, Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test, Final Combined Competitive Examination, Personality Test, and finally the Final Merit List.

How Much Relaxation Did ST and SC Get
Comparing the UR cut-off with other categories for the SI (Unarmed Branch) post shows the real gap. UR candidates needed 159.17 marks, while ST candidates were cleared at 124.17, a gap of roughly 35 marks. For SC candidates the gap is about 11 marks, and for OBC candidates it narrows to just 3.34 marks.
Share of Women Selected
Out of 309 selected candidates, 27 are women, which works out to about 8.74 percent of the total. The remaining 282 candidates, or 91.26 percent, are male.

- Open the result PDF and use Ctrl+F to search your roll number
- For the individual scorecard, enter your Application Serial Number, Date of Birth and Permanent District/State
What It Means for Candidates
If you appeared for the Personality Test, check the final merit PDF right away for your roll number. If your name is not in the selected list, it will appear in the “Not Selected” list, so it is worth confirming either way rather than assuming. If the PDF does not open properly, try a different browser or clear your cache, and rely only on the official WBPRB or Kolkata Police websites rather than third-party links.
