SLST Date Extension: The wait is finally over. In a major relief for applicants of the Second SLST (AT) exam, The West Bengal Central School Service Commission has decided to extend the application deadline. This step was taken considering the difficulties faced by many aspirants due to technical issues. An official notification (Memo. No. 1336/7016/CSSC/ESTT/2025) regarding this was published on July 12, 2025.
In its notice, the commission stated that it was observed that some candidates have faced difficulties in accessing the portal for applying for the post of Assistant Teachers due to technical issues and server problems. The deadline has been extended to resolve this issue.
New Dates and Deadlines
According to the published notice, the deadline for applying for the posts of Assistant Teachers for classes 9-10 and 11-12 has been extended. The new dates are:
- Last date for submitting applications: July 21, 2025 (up to 5:59 PM)
- Last date for fee payment: July 21, 2025 (up to 11:59 PM)
As mentioned in the previous post, the commission had sought an extension from the state government due to excessive server load and other technical complications. With this request now granted, thousands of applicants are relieved. This is a significant opportunity for those who have not yet been able to complete their application.
Important Advice for Applicants
Since additional time has been granted, remaining applicants are advised to complete their application process as soon as possible without further delay. To avoid the last-minute rush, it is wise to fill out the form and submit the fees well in advance. The commission has clarified that a few extra hours will be available for fee payment after the final time for application submission (up to 11:59 PM).
