The West Bengal Finance Department has finally set the schedule for salary and pension disbursements for the end of June 2026. Following established state protocols, the payment dates have been fixed to ensure smooth transactions across all government departments and pensioner accounts.
If you are a government employee or a pensioner, keeping these dates in mind will definitely help you plan your monthly household budget. All payments are processed through the e-pradan system in line with the Finance Department Memorandum No. 6454-F(Y), dated August 25, 2015.

When will you receive your salary?
Regular state government employees drawing pay through Treasuries or Kolkata Pay and Accounts Offices (PAO) receive their salaries on the last but one working day of the month. Accordingly, payments for June will be credited on June 29, 2026 (Monday).
Meanwhile, employees of Grant-in-aid institutions—including aided schools, colleges, municipalities, panchayats, and libraries—receive their pay on the final working day of the month. These employees will receive their salaries on June 30, 2026 (Tuesday).
Pension and Honorarium Payments
Regarding pensioners, the state rule is to credit funds on the first day of the subsequent month. Therefore, June pensions will be disbursed on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday).
Likewise, for workers receiving daily wages, honorariums, or stipends, their June payments will also be processed on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday).

Practical Impact of the Schedule
Having fixed dates helps millions of employees manage their finances, including EMI payments and utility bills, without the fear of delays. For pensioners, getting funds on the first day of the new month is particularly helpful for managing medical expenses and daily household requirements.
Crucial Bill Submission Guidelines for DDOs
Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) are reminded that bills must be submitted at least 5 working days before the disbursement date. Because June 26 (Friday) is a holiday for Muharram, followed by the weekend on June 27 and 28, DDOs must be proactive.
To ensure regular salaries are credited on June 29, all salary bills must be submitted to the Treasury or PAO by June 22, 2026. Failing to meet this deadline could cause server congestion on the IFMS e-pradan portal and lead to unwanted payment delays.
